what to do if you missed open enrollment for health insurance in Wisconsin

In a previous post, we discussed open enrollment windows for both Obamacare and Medicare, and we encouraged people to address the issue sooner rather than later to ensure the smoothest possible experience and the most options being available.

And now it’s mid-December and some of the windows have recently closed or will be closing very shortly. We understand that there are a whole host of reasons that people were unable to get enrolled before now. It’s a busy time of year, and maybe it just slipped your mind. Or maybe you tried to get coverage all set, but some of the red tape involved has delayed the process. Or maybe you were covered through an employer and recently find your employment situation to have changed.

Whatever the case may be, the bottom line is this: there are Wisconsinites who don’t yet have coverage for the upcoming year and they need it. The reason they don’t have it yet doesn’t matter. Our job at Milz Health Group is to see the good people of southeastern Wisconsin get good coverage at a good price.

If you feel you may have missed a window or that a window is closing, give us a call at Milz Health Group today. There are numerous options still available, and there are many exceptions to the enrollment deadlines. But it’s important to call as soon as possible. With each day that passes, the pool of options for 2018 continues to shrink.

So if you are worried because you don’t have your 2018 coverage set, give us a call today and let us help you explore your options. It’s what we do and what we’re passionate about.
