The brand new year 2019 is now well underway. If you’ve made resolutions for yourself, how are you doing on them? Hopefully the resolutions that are most important to you are starting to become habit and you’re on your way to making them a permanent part of your life. Others, you may have found, were unrealistic or not practical, and you’ve already abandoned them. Whatever the case, we wish you the best of luck with your goals in 2019.
Previously, we’ve written about resolving to make the most out of your health care coverage, and the start of a brand new year is a great time to recommit to that effort. If you’re brand new to Medicare, or if you’re on a brand new plan, it’s not too early to find out about all your entitlements and start taking advantage already. Many plans include routine screenings, checkups, and other preventative services. There’s no reason to wait to take advantage of these entitlements. In the past, patients would often wait until they “met their deductible” to take care of these preventative service visits, but changes to legislation means that some of these items are completely covered whether you’ve met your deductible or not.
As part of our mission to see southeastern Wisconsin be the healthiest it can be, we encourage you to find out about your coverage and use it to its fullest extent in 2019. And as always, if you have questions about your coverage or have trouble navigating some of the language regarding your plan, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at Milz Health Group and let us help you get the most out of your health insurance coverage.
