getting the right information when selecting health insurance in Wisconsin

When it comes to making important decisions, there’s nothing as important as good, reliable, accurate information. Think about buying a new car. How many Wisconsinites would walk into a dealership, approach a salesperson, and say “point to a car, and I’ll buy it, no questions asked?” That sounds a bit absurd, doesn’t it? Most people take their time reading Consumer Reports, scouring the internet, and asking other people for feedback on different models of vehicles. It’s a big decision because it’s an expensive decision, and most people don’t take it lightly.

Today, we’d like you to think about another important decision – choosing health insurance coverage. Just like any important decision in life, getting reliable and accurate information is critical to making a good decision that will work for you and your family financially and give you the coverage you need.

When the American Health Care Act passed the U.S. House of Representatives a little over a month ago, quite a bit of inaccurate information started floating around. Because the issue of healthcare legislation is often seen as a partisan issue, many pundits, reporters, and other politically-engaged people started jumping to conclusions about how the potential law would change the health insurance industry and health care coverage in America. Much of the information, however, was inaccurate and incomplete.

Additionally, passing the House is only the first step in a long process in which a bill becomes a law. By only passing the House, absolutely no legislation has yet been changed. Many reporters forgot to remind people of that fact.

While the Affordable Care Act is still the law of the land in the United States, there may be a time in the future when that changes – only time will tell. At Milz Health Group, we’ve made an unwavering commitment to our clients to stay on top of all things healthcare. While we know the current system well and are prepared to help you navigate the current climate, we promise that, if things change, we’ll be equally equipped. We know that by making ourselves expert in health insurance, we can best serve the good people of Wisconsin. That has always been and always will be our passion!
